Hi, I’m Miriam, the face behind Green Phoenix Florals, a small-scale cut flower farm in the heart of Indianapolis. My goal is to provide my community with the same joy flowers give me, and to do it in a way that prioritizes the long-term wellbeing of the land and ecology around me. I use organic and no-till methods whenever possible.

The Green Phoenix is a symbol of resurrection: life coming from death, and light from darkness. Just as the phoenix is reborn from its own ashes, a seed is brought to life after it is buried in the ground and appears to die. Watching those first leaves unfurl is a lot like watching a bird open its wings to take flight. The Green Phoenix is a plant. Both the phoenix and a seedling are powerful images of resilience and hope.

It is my hope that Green Phoenix Florals becomes a sign of light to anyone who encounters this work. My goal is to serve my community by sowing seeds of hope and reaping the fruits of joy and life.
